Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Request

Purpose:  Clinton County, Illinois government is an administrative unit that bridges the gap between state authority and local communities, providing vital services and governance to its residents. Essential services include law enforcement, judicial, public health, infrastructure maintenance, tax administration, elections, record keeping (vital records and property), zoning and community development.

Clinton County operates under the township form of government. The governing body is the County Board, and its primary function is to establish the various budgets for the county funds and levy taxes for county purposes. Also, the board adopts all ordinances and rules pertaining to the management and business of the county departments. (See link below for County Board members and committees).
