Applying for a Liquor License

To apply for a Clinton County Liquor License, the business owner must fill out an application form. This form is obtained from our office in person or by mail. After the completed application is submitted, the Sheriff’s Office does a background check on the applicant. If there are no problems, a liquor license is issued. The cost of the license varies with the closing time requested. Yearly liquor licenses expire on June 30th annually and must be reapplied for each year. Beer-only, single-event licenses are also available.
